End of the line
Got to my destination and still had an hour to kill, so I walked to Siekierki power station in Augustówka, the most rural part of Warsaw's Mokotów district. So here we are, 27.4km by rail from Okęcie sidings. This is where all the coal goes. At the base of the two nearest chimneys, a south Warsaw landmark, you can see a rake of coal wagons waiting to be unloaded. Got to my meeting on time having walked seven kilometers. Did another two this evening, picking up my dear old Nissan Micra from the garage on Baletowa (replaced right-hand constant velocity joint - 250 zlotys)
